75 years after the deportation of the Jews of Macedonia, an extraordinary museum has opened in the country’s capital Skopje, Atlas AV gives this challenging story a voice.
Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov was among those attending the ceremonies commemorating the 75th anniversary of the deportation of Jews from Macedonia, which include a ceremony at the Parliament and attending American senators and ambassadors across Europe.
Atlas AV working alongside Beck Interiors have shaped a unique AV experience to tell this harrowing story. Bespoke exhibits guide the visitor around the museum, such as projections onto statues of historical Jewish figures, a multi-screen timeline of Jews in the Balkans, a seated large screen experience complimented by dramatic lighting, several ‘listening post’ kiosks where visitors can see the sights and sounds of historical events surrounding the Jews of Macedonia.
All these exhibits come together to form the meaningful story of the Jews of Macedonia and Atlas AV delivers this project on time for this important anniversary.
